As a Project Manager at ORTEC Data Science & Consulting you will get the chance to carry out projects that make huge impact at our customers and to manage a team of enthusiastic professionals.

In the role of Project Manager, you are responsible for the delivery of your projects. You carry out the day to day-to-day operations of the team and you make sure the team spirit, collaboration and productivity are high. Next to that, you create a project plan, take care of team resourcing and you make sure all stakeholders of your project are up-to-date and aligned.

You will manage innovative projects which solve real life challenges of our customers. You work on 1 or multiple projects at the same time, depending on the project-size, giving a lot of variation and ample learning opportunities. For each project, you work with a small team consisting of consultants, architects, testers and/or engineers.

Within our team we focus on customers in different industries, e.g., the Manufacturing- and the Retail-industry. For customers like ASML and AH we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to contribute to our long-lasting relationships with these companies.

Within our T&L team we focus on customers in the Transport & Logistics industry. For customers like FEDEX and EPG we are also looking for an experienced Project Manager to contribute to our long-lasting relationships with these companies.

Your team, and ORTEC as a whole for that matter, consists of very talented people who like to work together and help each other out, while really making a difference for our customers. You work on real-life problems of our customers, such as business critical processes that influence thousands of people every single day.

From day one, you will be supported by your colleagues, and they will make sure you get up to speed with our products, propositions, and our way of working, while your input will be appreciated on smart (change) proposals from the very first moment you set (digital) foot in our office.

Depending on your own preference and experience there are various opportunities to combine your role as Project Manager with another role. You can combine it with managing a group of consultants, with a more content-focused role such as Business Consultant or get extra responsibility as a Program Manager

Who you are

As a Project Manager you are an ambitious professional with experience in managing projects in an Agile environment. You take the lead in complex situations and support your team in their responsibilities.

Furthermore:

You have a Bachelor or master’s degree and at least approx. 5 years of relevant working experience as a Project Manager or as a Consultant in a (project) leading position.
You have experience or affinity with projects that contain mathematics, data science and/or software solutions.
You have a pro-active attitude.
You understand the power of good communication and know how to make the most of this skill. You are comfortable with communicating with people on C-level as well as the end-users of our solution.
You are currently living in the Netherlands and are able to fluently communicate in English (verbally and in writing). Command of the Dutch language is a plus.
Making decisions is not scaring you.
You are driven by making impact at our customers and building long-term relationships.
You have excellent people management skills.
